Gluten Free in Bend, Oregon

 

We just had a quick overnight stop in Bend, but at some point we'd like to return because of all the gluten free options and the lovely mountains.  We decided to eat at Deschutes since we've eaten in their Portland location and were just looking for something familiar.

The Times The Are A Changin'

Forgive the horribly cliche post title, but I'm actually a huge Bob Dylan fan. At one point, during my college days, I had a bunch of tank tops with his lyrics puffy painted on them.


Anyway, it's a new year and I've got a couple of goals for both this site and beyond. I've also got a brand new puppy in the house that's competing for my time and attention, so it will be interesting to see how this all works out.

In 2011, I visited 19 states, provinces, and regions in 3 different countries, went camping for the first time while being gluten free (see my series of posts on Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner), and purchased a KitchenAide Stand Mixer!

Happy Holidays & A Cookie Round Up


For our 1st anniversary my wonderful hubby and I put on our wedding gear and took pictures at Jones Creek Farms to use for our first holiday cards.

The Group Trip: Gluten Free


Oh the group trip.  Are you familiar with these?  They combine the fun of exploring new places with friends with the chaos of trying to coordinate a large number of independently minded people. From my experience with group trips, the most challenging part has always been related to the food.
